Designed for you to create your own moment of calm - projects you can reach for - whenever you need it, at home and on the go. I have kept everything as simple for you to focus on creativity for an uber relaxing sewing experience.
Sashiko is such a liberating stitching style! If you have always stitched with a very self critical eye, this we hope will inspire you to learn to love every little wonky stitch, full of character and heart. We don't teach the modern, formal geometric style of sashiko, rather a blended form integrating with mainstream embroidery styles - a freer, more fluid way of stitching.
Boro and Patchwork - blending creatively liberating Japanese Boro stitching, and English Paper Piecing and other inspiration taken from around the world. Selecting the most relaxing elements from each art form.
Comfort is the heart an soul of this membership site. The origins of this simple stitching come from finding comfort in stitching through bereavement. Life gives us challenges, and learning to uses stitching to soothe is a wonderful skill to learn and use.
Every project we will do together, step by step on this wonderful stitching journey to achieve greater calming stitching joy.

With so many sewing courses, how can you know if this is what you need? This is not for everyone. If you want to learn geometric sashiko, or meticulously perfect detailed embroidery - this is likely not for you. If you want to sew for that lost in the moment creative calm, then you may be right for this sewing circle.

QUILTING CIRCLE
Stitching together to create a beautiful piece - each stitch full of love.
While we sew together (even though living so far apart) even without saying a word, we know that those on this quilting journey with us are also going through this journey of life.
Good days, and bad days. Days when thoughts and memories bring us pain and days that bring us joy when we can uplift others. We are not alone, you are not alone, even though we may feel that way at times.
Together we stitch through all of life’s journey, stitching memories with tears of sadness, and with tears of joy.
Our stories are precious. We will stitch your story into this quilt, and together, create a piece stitched with real love.
STITCHING FUNDAMENTALS
Keeping it lovely and simple for you, we will be hand stitching an Irish chain quilt.
Using home materials, we create templates to replicate the panels so easily without complex quilting methods and faffing with measuring every panel.
Each quilting panel is the same size. 30x30cm, so you can make one (table mat) or a hundred to make a beautiful heirloom quilt.

BORO COURSE
A spontaneous creative stitching art.
PURPOSE
Gain confidence in creating your own Sashiko designs on Boro patchwork, starting simple and ending with a really creative piece
